Let’s talk about theft. Two of my 4’x4′ campaign signs were stolen from Don Averill’s field in Tillamook a week after I put them up. According to PSI Signs in Bay City, I’ll spend $436 replacing them.
I am outraged that someone is wasting the hard earned money that local folks donated to my campaign. I’m outraged about the time and effort my brother put into helping me get those signs up, driving stakes into rocky ground with a post driver, metal ringing, Joe saying, ooof, that’s going to make my hands hurt.
Recently some of my opponent’s lawn signs were stolen, about a $100 loss for him. He’s also upset, with reason.
We don’t know who stole our signs or why.
